Privacy statement

Tweelo (tweelo.nl) is run by 123-NL B.V., Hurksestraat 60, 5652 AL Eindhoven, the Netherlands, KVK 88560686. We are responsible for your personal data on Tweelo. Questions: info@tweelo.nl.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address and a protected password.
  • Profile: first name, date of birth (only your age is shown), gender, who you want to meet, city, photos, answers, interests and the optional details you add.
  • Activity: likes, skips, matches, messages, blocks, reports and when you were last active.

We never store your exact location. You choose a city; others see only the city and an approximate distance.

Sensitive information

Your gender and who you want to meet can reveal your sexual orientation. This is special category data under the GDPR. We process it only because you explicitly give it to us when you create your profile, and only to show you to the right people. You can change or delete it at any time.

Payments

If you buy Premium, Mollie B.V. handles the payment. We receive and keep the payment status, amount and date, not your card or bank details. We must keep payment records for 7 years under Dutch tax law, also after you delete your account (without your profile).

Why we use it

  • To run the service: show your profile, suggest people and let matches chat (performance of our agreement with you).
  • To keep Tweelo safe: handle reports and stop abuse (our legitimate interest in a safe service).
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising based on your profile, and we do not use tracking cookies.

Who processes it for us

Supabase (database, login and photo storage, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany), Netlify (website hosting) and Mollie (payments, Amsterdam). They process data only on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, likes, matches and messages straight away. Reports about other people may be kept for up to 12 months to protect users. Accounts that are inactive for 24 months are deleted.

Your rights

You can view, change and delete your data yourself in the app. You can also ask us for a copy, correction, restriction or deletion, or object to processing, by emailing info@tweelo.nl. You may withdraw your consent at any time. You can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Cookies and storage

We only use your browser storage to keep you logged in and remember your language. No analytics or advertising cookies.
